Agents with the Drug Enforcement Agency and local law enforcement on Wednesday indicted more than a dozen people for involvement in marijuana growing operations as well as three businesses during a raid they’re calling “Operation Green Reaper.”

City Council adds Duthie Hill 'Notch' to potential annexation area

The “island” that is Duthie Hill Notch is one step closer to joining the city of Sammamish.
In a special meeting Monday night, the City Council voted to add the Notch to the city’s potential annexation area. The council also voted to approve the Kaschko docket request and added a number of other areas as contingent potential annexation areas.

With flowers and small trees decorating the Council Chambers, Mayor Ava Frisinger presented the sixth annual 2008 Ruth Kees Enviromental Award for Sustainable Community posthumously to William R. Longwell Jr.

Issaquah wrapped up a busy week of baseball, winning three straight league games to move into a tie for second place in the KingCo 3A.
The Eagles defeated Skyline 14-4 on April 17, beat Liberty 5-3 last Friday and downed Mount Si 6-4 on Monday, improving to 8-5 in league and 9-6 overall.
